NRE stands for National Registration Examination is conducted twice a year that compulsory for Foreign Medical Graduates, most likely in June and December each year. The Pakistan Medical and Dental Council announces the results of the examination online. The exam is administered by the National University of Medical Sciences (NUMS) from Rawalpindi, which is responsible for paper setting, compilation, and declaration of results.

A total of 4,994 candidates appeared in the examination, while 41 candidates were absent. Overall, 1,252 medical candidates passed the examination. The medical pass percentage in that session was recorded at 25.26 percent.

The PMC or PM&DC uploads the National Licensing Examination results on its portal, where graduates can check their result status, and the date of the result can be after a week. After passing the NRE, graduates are eligible to take housejob in Pakistan, as passing the exam is now required before starting housejob.
