Pakistan Medical and Dental Council maintains the official register of medical practitioners in Pakistan.

EXAM REGISTRATION
A postgraduate medical qualification in Pakistan involves 4–5 years of training.
PM&DC is an official registrar of Pakistan has a record of medical practitioners who have worked or are currently working. They maintain a standard of basic and higher qualifications in medicine and dentistry. They were established in 1948, and their headquarters location is at Mauve Area, Islamabad-44000. Prof. Dr. Rizwan Taj is the president. PMDC was once called the Pakistan Medical Commission, and they have 232 employees working for them. They adopted the British Indian Medical Council under the PMC Act of 1951. Arif Alvi passed a law that dissolve PMDC to the PMC, but it was later reversed in 2022.
Registration
If a practitioner wants to work properly in Pakistan, they will first register with the PMDC under the Chapter IX Act 2008.

Two mandatory exams for foreign medical and dental graduates to obtain a license to practice consist of MCQs and clinical skills.
An exam for foreign medical graduates, after coming from another country to Pakistan, graduates will give this exam and get their license. Officials will give the syllabus on their site. Exams take place twice a year on the website. Test dates are announced 1 month before the examination, and after 1 week of test result is announced.
